Still on the battle of Sowore and the DSS, A Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Advocacy for Advancement of Peace and Harmony in Africa Initiative (ADAPHAI) has reacted to the Friday invasion of the Federal High Court, Abuja, saying such desecration of an open court signals threat to Nigeria’s democracy. The group maintained that the political class, by this development showed that it has learnt nothing about tenets of democracy in the last two decades of civil administration, as it berated President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over the incident. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the National Assembly (NASS) to redirect the 2020 budget to areas that would better serve the interest of majority of Nigerians. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has filed a cross-appeal against the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal which affirmed the election of its candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari. Although the eventual judgment of the tribunal was in its favour, the party is by its cross-appeal challenging some aspects of the September 11, 2019, verdict of the tribunal.
