Dino Melaye: Only ‘Foolish And Stupid’ People Will Decamp From PDP To APC

Melaye, on his official twitter handle @dino-melaye, stated that APC would be defeated in Kogi State, adding that only ‘foolish and stupid’ and people with degree in stupidity would leave PDP for APC. He wrote: ‘Foolish and stupid’, people with degree in stupidity will leave PDP for APC. APC will be defeated in Kogi State.” After recent setbacks in his political career in the PDP, it had been rumoured that the senator planned to decamp. The Kogi State election tribunal in Lokoja, had recently sacked Melaye as senator and ordered a fresh election. Dino had also lost out of the PDP governorship primary held on September 3. A former minister for women affairs, Jumai Alhassan popularly known as “Mama Taraba” has dumped the United Democratic Party, UDP for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Alhassan, at a meeting in her Jalingo Residence, explained that her defection to the PDP was based on an opinion poll carried out at a stakeholders’ meeting. She revealed that she had no other option than to follow the decision of the majority members of the party. It will be recalled that Alhassan contested for governorship on the platform of the UDP in the 2019 general elections and lost.
